{"id":558,"date":"2009-09-12T03:17:46","date_gmt":"2009-09-11T23:17:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ff-squad.com\/wp\/?p=558"},"modified":"2016-05-25T00:47:59","modified_gmt":"2016-05-24T20:47:59","slug":"558","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ff-squad.com\/technet2\/558\/","title":{"rendered":"OBD2 Evap Emissions CEL Code P1457"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Here&#8217;s yet another OBD2 issue various people have experienced &#8211; P-CEL code 1457: Evap Emissions.<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s a couple solutions found on this H-T thread:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.honda-tech.com\/showthread.php?t=2558768\">http:\/\/www.honda-tech.com\/showthread.php?t=2558768<\/a><\/p>\n<p>It looks like the ECU may be to blame if the fuel cap isn&#8217;t faulty for firing off this pesky code.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, this code does NOT throw your normal gauge cluster CEL light. \u00c2\u00a0It is only read through an OBD2 scanner tool.<\/p>\n<p>Usually, if an OBD2 CEL can&#8217;t be read via counting the flashing CEL&#8217;s, it&#8217;s not a serious problem (yet).
