DPFi = Dual Point Fuel Injection
MPFi = Multi Point Fuel Injection

  • PM6 civic/crx Si; MPFi, 88-89 PM6’s are not re-programmable. Only 90-91 PM6 ECU’s are re-programmable.

OBD-0 JDM (88-91)

  • PM7 civic/crx Si DOHC ZC; semi-rare ecu
  • PR3 civic/crx SiR & integra XSi/RSi DOHC VTEC (B16A)
  • PW0 civic/crx SiR & integra XSi/RSi DOHC VTEC (B16A)

OBD-1 U.S. (92-95)

  • PR4 integra RS/LS/LS-SE/GS (B18B); can be converted to VTEC
  • P0A accord EX (SOHC VTEC)
  • P05 civic CX; uses 1-wire 02 sensor; can be converted to VTEC + 4-wire 02
  • P06 civic DX (D15B); can be converted to VTEC
  • P07 civic VX (D15B SOHC VTEC-E); uses 5-wire 02 sensor; Honda used two different main boards with the P07. The ’11F0′ P28-style board is the chip friendly version while the ‘1560’ board is the unfriendly bastard; supports B-series DOHC VTEC programming.
  • P14 prelude Si DOHC (H23)
  • P13 prelude DOHC VTEC (H22A)
  • P28 civic Si/EX (D16Z6 SOHC VTEC); re-programmable to DOHC VTEC

  • P08 civic VTi (D15B SOHC VTEC); small square ecu body type; equivalent to a P28; supports B-series DOHC VTEC programming
  • P13 prelude DOHC VTEC (H22A); only supports JDM P13 programming
  • P27 civic coupe (D16A); rare ecu; equivalent to a P28; supports B-series DOHC VTEC programming
  • P29 civic (DOHC ZC); rare ecu! Equivalent to a P06 ECU; supports B-series DOHC programming
  • P30 civic SiR & delsol SiR (B16A); small square ecu body type with knock sensor daughter board
  • P72 integra SiR/SiR-G (B18C); small square ecu body type with knock sensor daughter board; this ECU can be finicky and not like my programs
  • P91 civic Orthio (D16A SOHC VTEC); rare but equivalent to a P28; supports B-series DOHC VTEC programming

OBD-2A U.S. (96-98/96-99/97-01)

  • P2E civic CX/DX hatchback/coupe (D16Y7) (96-98)
  • P2N civic HX coupe; uses a 5-wire 02 sensor (D16Y5) (96-98)

  • P13 96 prelude VTEC (H22A1); super rare ecu! (1996 only)
  • P5M prelude VTEC (H22A4); oddly remained OBD2A (97-01)
  • P5P prelude VTEC Type-S (H22A4); oddly remained OBD2A (97-01)

OBD-2A JDM

  • P2T civic SiR hatchback (EK4/B16A) (96-00)
  • PCT civic Type-R (EK9/B16B) (96-98)
  • P73 integra Type-R (DC2/B18C) (96-01); never became OBD2B

OBD-2B U.S. (99-01)
Between Civic & Integra vehicles, only the 00-01 Integra’s received an Immobilizer system, while the 99-00 Civic’s did not.

Honda never implemented an Immobilizer system on JDM Civic & Integra ECU’s. However, they did for certain Prelude/Accord/S2000 ECU’s.

OBD-2C
‘OBD2-C’ is not an official name, just logical naming continuity I came up with for indicating K-series era wiring type and ECU’s which are completely incompatible with OBD2A/B systems.
