"Dude I'll tell
you one thing worse than rice, JDM!! hahahah, what a joke, Im sorry but
Hondas are VERY unpopular amongst racers in Japan, there are just too many
other choices for less money that are a bit better, plenty of old women
drive EKs not to say that you dont see your fair share of Rs at the circuit,
cause you DO! , hey I happen to think Honda is one of the very best companies,
with a rich racing heritage, and a clear comitment to motorsports.. but
to say that Stanley corners, and a motor swap is JDM, well Im not sure.
You see Japanese Domestic Market I believe also holds true to the attitude,
and ability of the owner/vehicle... In Japan, to have a car that is simple,
and truly sporty with ability to perform on and off track, is really all
that describes the market, upgrades are typically simple, seats, steering
wheel, small interior knick-knacks, mostly things the driver can touch and
feel, to give them a better feel of the car and of course to feel sporty
i suppose. To me the term JDM is far too loosely applied, its a culture
of folks who truly feel motorsports, through themselves and their cars,
when the sound of a backfire at the end of a straight gives you goosebumps,
and going through a set of brake pads in a weekend doesnt upset you, and
is actually considered, an accomplishment... obviously there is the literal
term for JDM, well then you might be pretty darn close to that...but there
is no way to put a sticker on your car that shows the feeling of waking
up on a cold Japanese fall morning, trasckside, with thte sounds of V10s
whining through the Spoon curve, or the distinct note of the straight 6s
clutching it, before the hairpin getting sideways... these things i feel
are so overlooked by enthusiasts, Power, Style, abiltiy... these truly are
last in the line of the Drivers needs, it comes down to passion for motorsports,
or simply the freedom of starting up your car and getting away... when I
think about buying a car, I say to myself, would I be excited simply to
wake up early, and wash that car... vaccum the interior, get coffee and
a donut before hitting the canyons as the fog clears....HAHAHAHAHAH FUCK
RICE!!!!! I hate that shit! clear this, colored that! SHUT UP!! do it right
assholes!JDM!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA...... Dave. " |
