Here’s yet another OBD2 issue various people have experienced – P-CEL code 1457: Evap Emissions.

It looks like the ECU may be to blame if the fuel cap isn’t faulty for firing off this pesky code.
On the other hand, this code does NOT throw your normal gauge cluster CEL light. Â It is only read through an OBD2 scanner tool.
Usually, if an OBD2 CEL can’t be read via counting the flashing CEL’s, it’s not a serious problem (yet). This is known a  ‘pending’ CEL that only the OBD2 scanner tool can pick up on.
